Cynthia McVay, G’88, WG’88, moved a 200-year-old barn onto her 82-acre Hudson Valley, N.Y., property. Roughly 8,000 square feet, the barn is solar passive and superinsulated, with breathing room and 35-foot ceilings. McVay, a consultant and artist (and more), lives on Field Farm (as her daughter Tess calls it) full time. Photos by Susan Farley.
