Thomas Edward Madden WG58, of Saratoga, CA, died at home, surrounded by family, on Dec. 16, 2015. The cause was congestive heart failure. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Dorothy Madden, eight children and step-children, 18 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Tom was born on April 9, 1932, to Florence (Dampman) Madden and Lee Madden, in Freeport, IL. He received a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering from the University of Illinois (Urbana, IL) in 1954. Tom served in the U.S. Navy from July, 1954, until June, 1956, where he held the rank of lieutenant. After completing his service, he received an MBA from the Wharton School.
