The Wharton Blog Network can now officially be called “the award-winning Wharton Blog Network.”
We recently learned that our blog network—a project we here at Wharton Magazine launched only a few months back—had earned a Bronze Award in the 2011 CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) District II Accolades Awards. The CASE District II awards recognize outstanding achievement in alumni relations, communications, design, magazines, Web-based publications and more, and are open to colleges and universities in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, West Virginia, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Ontario, Canada.
We are thrilled to have won this award, which we see as validation of the time and effort we’ve spent to make the Blog Network a true “must-read” for everyone in the Wharton community.
Since going live in August, our roster has grown to 34 bloggers, including Wharton faculty, staff, students and alumni. These contributors come from a wide variety of backgrounds and offer unique, interesting perspectives on some of the biggest issues facing business leaders today. In fact, in the past few weeks alone, our bloggers have tackled topics ranging from globalization and change management to the rise of teleprescence and the state of sport in fast-growing Brazil.
In short, we feel we’re off to a pretty good start—and we’re hoping for even greater achievements in the year to come.
