Caesar Williams Jr. WG92, 60, passed away on March 26, 2023, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Caesar was born on June 22, 1962, in Philadelphia. After graduating from the William Penn Charter School, he earned a swimming scholarship to attend Howard University in Washington, DC. While at Howard, Caesar became a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and earned a bachelor of business administration in insurance. At Wharton, he earned an MBA with a concentration in insurance and entrepreneurial management. Afterward, he went on to earn the designations of Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. With over 40 years of insurance experience, Caesar held positions in marketing, product development, and sales management for regional brokerage agencies and national companies before founding his own business, Supplemental Benefits Group. Caesar was also active with the Union League of Philadelphia, serving as membership ambassador, member of the admissions committee, and an active leader in the Union League’s charitable work as trustee and vice chairman of the Youthwork Foundation and Legacy Foundation. In 2023, the Legacy Foundation established the Caesar Williams Jr. Memorial Scholarship. Caesar was also a trustee of the William Penn Charter School and served on the boards of the Lighthouse, the Steppingstone Foundation, and Philadelphia Health Management Company. He was also involved with Special Olympics and Resources for Children’s Health and was a member of the Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council, Center City Proprietor’s Association, and Mother Bethel AME Church. Caesar’s greatest joy was spending time with his children, Tyler and Trey. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katrina Clark-Williams WG92; daughter Tyler Williams C19; son Caesar Williams III “Trey”; brothers Paul and Chris Williams; and a host of family and friends.
