Abdulaziz Al Mulla C11 WG15, 33, passed away on July 15. Born in Kuwait, Abdulaziz earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with minors in mathematics, history, and classical studies from Penn. He subsequently worked as an analyst at the debt capital markets desk at HSBC in Dubai before starting his Wharton MBA in 2013. Upon graduating, Abdulaziz joined McKinsey & Company as a management consultant before starting Madar Farms, a vertical farming initiative based in Dubai and aiming to grow sustainable fresh produce in the desert. He is survived by mother Wafa and sister Wafiqa. He was a beacon of light in his Wharton class, and his friends will miss him dearly.
