
John H. Merrill WG58, 90, of Windsor, CT, passed away on February 3. After earning his MBA, John became a technical representative at Hamilton Standard. In 1966, he joined IBM as a systems engineer and retired in 1997. John married his wife, Marcia, in 1962. In the ’70s, he became involved with Immanuel House in Hartford, CT, and subsequently became a board member and president. In retirement, John did volunteer tax consulting for AARP and the IRS for the towns of Bloomfield and Windsor. He was also a member of First Church Windsor. Among those surviving John are daughter Deborah (David), son Kenneth (Edith), and grandchildren Julia, Anna, and Nathan. He was predeceased by Marcia, brothers George and Frank, and grandson David.
